Chad was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona and graduated from Chandler High School in 1997. While in High School, he also attended the East Valley Institute of Technology in Mesa, Arizona studying Police Science for 4 years. Chad worked as an Explorer/Cadet and volunteer with the Chandler Police Department for 7 years. While there, he earned several awards of commendation and outstanding service. Chad has worked as a news videographer for many news markets, primarily KSAZ FOX 10, KPHO CBS 5, KNXV ABC 15, and The Weather Channel. Chad moved to Flagstaff in 2006 where he continued to provide news footage for the Phoenix news stations. He also managed the Oregano's Pizza Bistro in Flagstaff for 2 years before leaving to accept a job as the News Director and Morning News Anchor for KBTK 105.1 The Big Talker, KFLX 104.1 The Canyon, KOLT 107.5 The Big KOLT Country, and KWMX 96.7 The Wolf. You can still hear Chad every weekday morning between 6 am and 9 am on all of those stations, providing all of Northern Arizona including Flagstaff, Prescott, and Payson with your daily dose of local news. Chad has also worked since 2007 as a Multi-Media Journalist for the Arizona Public Safety News Network. In 2007, Chad was inducted into the National Who's Who Association of Professionals and is well respected amongst Journalists, Reporters, and Photographers nationwide. Chad has been the first on scene to report and capture many national and international news events. His work has been seen on every major news network including FOX news, CNN, BBC, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, The Weather Channel, TruTV, and PBS. Chad started FLAGscanner in February 2008 because he saw a need for better news coverage in the Flagstaff region. He has always believed that an informed public is a safer public, and that the citizens of Flagstaff were not being provided with sufficient news coverage.

In the little free time that he has, he enjoys playing Micorsoft Flight Simulator, Flying RC helicopters, traveling to San Diego, and listening to shortwave radio. Chad can be reached by email at chad@flagscanner.com
